MISSION: The mission of the Cascade Lake 4-H Camp Corporation has been to provide safe, comfortable facilities, for youth and families of all capabilities that will enhance their educational experience of healthy recreation in a natural environment.
HISTORY: Over fifty years ago, the Cascade Lake 4-H Camp was established as a camping facility for 4-H youth in southwestern Idaho. Services have been expanded to other groups, including schools, churches, families, sports training camps and corporate retreats. The camp has been assisted in making major improvements over the years by donations and volunteer labor provided by the Ada County Grange, Meridian Gospel Tabernacle, Nampa Countrymen’s Club, Treasure Valley Back Country Horsemen and other civic groups.
OBJECTIVE: To provide a quality facility with quality service at a reasonable cost for overnight and day camping activities for self-directed groups, especially youth.
STRUCTURE: The camp is owned and managed by Cascade Lake 4-H Camp, Inc. It is a nonprofit corporation administered by a board of directors comprised of 4-H volunteers. Employees include a seasonal camp manager and kitchen staff.
