Cascade Lake 4-H Camp

Donnelly, Idaho

2020 has been quite an experience for us all. For the first time in 55 years, we were unable to host campers. Three families of deer living at the camp did enjoy the option of grazing the green grass without having all those campers to dodge. The ducks and geese took over the docks. The bats that like to sleep behind the cabin window shutters were glad not to be disturbed! Bald eagles nested in our largest pine tree. But we missed our happy campers!

We were able to work on several maintenance projects: a new roof for the manager’s cabin, an accessible path to the archery range along the nature path, new fencing along the parking area, new sprinklers for the yards, new shutters for cabins, replacement of the very old night security lights, and a few other much needed maintenance projects. We appreciated the volunteers that were able to help us with their time. Thanks also to those who donated funds to help!

The Cascade Lake 4-H Camp Board is dedicated to providing a safe, comfortable facility for youth and families of all capabilities that will enhance their educational experience of healthy recreation in a natural environment. As you consider options for year-end giving, we appreciate any support you can provide to help us accomplish our goals and prepare for the return of campers as soon as it is safe.
